Transparent TPU PPF (paint protection film) is a high-performance automotive protective film made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) as the substrate, with a coating process on the surface. It has anti yellowing, high temperature oxidation resistance, and high elasticity properties. Its core function is to protect the car paint from scratches, stone impact, ultraviolet rays, and other damages, while improving the brightness of the paint surface.

High end TPU substrate particles and imported brand adhesives

Different PPF film are compatible with a 5-10 year warranty

Certified by CE and ROHS, environmentally friendly and safe

Quick delivery of spot goods, approximately 7-15 days, supporting sea and air freight
Advantages of Transparent TPU PPF Film

The core advantages of transparent TPU PPF automotive film are as follows:
1. Transparency Characteristics
High transparency: The haze is only 5%, which hardly affects the original paint color and maintains the original luster of the car body
Aesthetics: There is no visual difference after installation, suitable for car owners who pursue the original paint effect.
2. Characteristics of TPU material
Self repair ability: Thermal technology can automatically repair minor scratches (such as tree branch scratches), with a 3-second repair time at room temperature and a more significant effect at high temperatures
Anti yellowing: Aliphatic TPU substrate (such as Agutek) is UV resistant and will not yellow after long-term use
High ductility: can stretch up to 500% without breaking, perfectly fitting complex surfaces (such as car door edges)
3. Protection effect
Scratch resistant: Multi layer structure resists impacts from sand, rocks, tree branches, etc., protecting the car paint from damage
Weather resistance: resistant to high temperatures of 150 ℃ and low temperatures of -80 ℃, resistant to acid rain and saltwater corrosion, suitable for extreme climates
Summary: Transparent TPU PPF balances aesthetics and protection, making it particularly suitable for car owners who prioritize scratch repair and long-term durability.
Transparent TPU PPF production process and core advantages
1. Production process flow
Raw material pretreatment: TPU masterbatch is pre mixed with antioxidants and UV absorbers, dried at 80-100 ℃ for 4-6 hours to avoid moisture causing bubbles
Extrusion molding: Melting temperature of 170-210 ℃, high transparency film is produced through casting process, with a thickness accuracy of ± 0.02mm
Cooling and shaping: Rapid cooling process (water bath/air cooling) suppresses crystallization, maintains disordered arrangement of molecular chains, and ensures transparency
2. Core advantages
Self repair ability: TPU molecular chains can automatically repair minor scratches at temperatures above 40 ℃, with a repair rate of ≥ 98%
Anti yellowing: Aliphatic TPU structure (without benzene ring) passed 3000 hour QUV test, with a color difference change of<1.5
High ductility: Stretching rate of 200% -300%, perfectly fitting complex surfaces (such as car door edges)
Protection effect: scratch resistant, UV resistant, hydrophobic and stain resistant, with a warranty period of 5-10 years

1. After 1-2 years and 6 months, the dyed film will significantly fade, bubble, and have a light transmittance of less than 70% or bubbles of more than 30%,
2. The oxidation of the metal layer in the metal magnetron film for 3-5 years leads to a 40% decrease in insulation and an infrared barrier rate of less than 50%,
3. After 7-10 years and 5 years, the nano ceramic film will slightly turn yellow (Δ YI<2) and the UV barrier will be less than 95%,
4. Top grade TPU film for 10 years+surface scratches can self repair adhesive layer delamination (<5% probability)
Color TPU PPF achieves rich colors through three-layer co extrusion dyeing process:
The substrate color embedding technology melts mineral pigments into TPU molecular chains, creating a deep metallic flowing light like black pearls or a satin texture like beet purple, ensuring color durability without fading;
Optical interference coating combined with nano reflective layer enables the color scheme of auroral green and other chameleon colors to change into a blue purple gradient with the angle of light;
The surface micro carving treatment gives a matte limestone like frosted texture, while reducing reflection by 90%.
The optional color gamut covers classic metallic colors (Champagne Gold/Electric Silver), natural inspired colors (Neptune Blue/Magma Red), and iridescent color schemes (Neon Purple Gold), meeting the needs of all scenarios from low-key business to dazzling track colors. Each model maintains TPU core protection performance. There are the following categories of color schemes:
Metallic color series electric titanium gray, black warrior, champagne gold
Pearl White, Cherry Blossom Pink, Neptune Blue
Matte color series: matte black, rock gray, matte military green
Chameleon color series: Illusionary Purple Gold, Aurora Blue Purple, Neon Orange Green
Retro color scheme: British green, Tiffany blue, Ferrari red
1. TPU PPF material
As a top-level protection solution, it uses thermoplastic polyurethane substrate, which is characterized by the fusion of scratch self-healing function and impact toughness. The surface nano coating provides super hydrophobicity (contact angle>110 °), and there is zero residue when the bottom pressure-sensitive adhesive is removed. Its optical grade transparency or color embedding technology (such as aurora color changing effect) combines aesthetics and protection, with a service life of 5-10 years. The market price is around $1000-3000 (full car), with high-end brands such as XPEL being more expensive.
2. PET material for car film
Essentially, it is an upgraded version of polyester film, thinner and more flexible than PVC. The core advantage lies in the precision of color reproduction, especially for metallic/pearl colors that appear evenly without any blemishes. But the protective performance is weak, only able to prevent daily stains and basic ultraviolet rays, without self-healing ability and poor scratch resistance. The service life is about 2-3 years, and the edges may still become brittle after exposure to sunlight. The price range is 400-800 US dollars, suitable for users who pursue short-term color changing effects and have a good driving environment.
3. TPH PPF material
It is actually an improved version of PVC (a mixture of plasticizer and polyurethane), often promoted by manufacturers as having "TPU like performance". It has better flexibility than PVC and can partially achieve edge wrapping construction, but its chemical stability is insufficient: the precipitation of plasticizer can cause the adhesive layer to fail after one year (with a curling rate of up to 30%), and it is prone to hardening and cracking at low temperatures. The self-healing function is incomplete (requiring a high temperature of 70 ℃ or above), and the ability to resist yellowing is weak. The price ranges from $555 to $1100, with a lifespan of about 2-4 years, and the long-term cost-effectiveness is lower than TPU.
4. PVC material for wrap film
The most basic polyvinyl chloride film has the advantages of affordable price ($138-555 for the entire car) and rich colors (from solid colors to cartoon patterns). But the material is hard and brittle, requiring multiple pieces to be spliced during construction, and the edges are prone to dust accumulation and warping. Extremely weak protection: no weather resistance (severe fading after 1-2 years), not scratch resistant, prone to powdering after UV irradiation. There is a high probability of leaving adhesive and damaging the car paint when tearing off the film, which is suitable for budget users who only need 1-2 years for short-term color changes.
